Father and son

This photgraph storngly shows the 'father, son' relationship. The connecting factor is the Massey tractor being displayed. This is a highly stereotypical image.

Dude Stuff

This photograph is a contrast to the previous photograph as it contains products that are stereotypical of a teenage boy.

Pink, sparkle and fluff

This photograph is an example of the materials that a teenage girl is 'supposed' to be interested in.
The explosion of pink expresses the idea that pink is generally expressed as a very feminine colour. This is a complete contrast to the material culture that a teenage boy should be interested in.

Beach Barbie

These barbies are all identical and there are so many of them. There is also alot of pink involved. The perfect 'girly' toy.

The accessories the barbies have also have alot to say about what a girl should use or look like e.g. the pink handbag and the barbie make up hmm.

Hot Wheels

This is part of the boy'f floor and it seems to be the Hot wheel section as all the toys in this area contain the logo. There is also the strong element of 'boyish' colours.
This shows the mass consumption of hot wheel products.

Girl's floor Vs Boy's floor?

This photograph expresses the difference between the two floors. The bottom floor consists of the girly toys and it is therefore bursting with pink and glitter and it has very bright lights whereas the top floor contains blues, reds, yellows and greens and has much darker lights.

There are also rows of cars on the boy's floor and there are dressing up dresses on the girl's floor.

Little girl and barbies

This image shows a little girl, almost fascinated by the barbie doll collection on display. The whole image deeply connects the concept of females and dolls. The poster on display is another factor that expreses this.
